Description
Ultra rare Arisaka Type 2 Paratrooper rifle chambered in 7.7 Jap caliber. These guns were only produced for a couple of years during WW2 and only just over 21,000 were ever made. This gun is in great condition with all the bumps and scratches you would expect. Made to seperate in the middle with the removal of a metal peg they could then be stowed in a rucksack or back pack. This gun has the name Braaten etched into both the front woodwork and the stock. This is presumably the name of the soldier that brought it back after the War to the States. It is quite an unusual name and there was a Marine who won the Navy Cross in Korea in 1950 by that name, so if a connection could be made that would give this gun a great provenance.
